About our center

Moonz Donosti Center will open its doors in June 2023. This center becomes the 15th Moonz center, joining the centers located in Bilbao, Madrid, Catalonia, Malaga, and London.

The clinic is located at 7-9 Estella Lizarra Street in San Sebastian, with the Amara-Donostia Euskotren station just 270 meters away. If you prefer to come by bus, the lines are 19, 31, 36, and B2.

It is situated within a 5-minute walk from the Buen Pastor Cathedral and a 9-minute walk from La Concha Beach. Next to it is the Ikastola Aldapeta María.

The objective of this new center in Donosti, like all our Moonz centers, is to offer a maximum level of excellence in treatments while providing patients and their parents with a different and unforgettable experience.

We comply with accessibility regulations for people with disabilities.

It is a qualified centre for orthodontics and paediatric dentistry that aims to offer the highest quality treatments to children, making them fun, educational, and as pleasant and straightforward as possible for their parents.

Hello! My name is Sandra Ledesma Jorge and I graduated in Dentistry from the International University of Catalonia.

Since the beginning of my career, dentistry has been my vocation, learning from prestigious professors at my university, taking advantage of each year to understand dentistry in all its disciplines. But I always had a special affection for Orthodontics.

So I decided to study the Master's in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at the University of Salamanca and currently, complementing it with a Master's in Orofacial and Temporomandibular Pain at the same university and a Master's in Permanent Training in Orthodontics at the Miguel de Cervantes University, as well as continuing to train in techniques with aligners.

I love the positive change we can offer in the quality of life of the little ones with our profession.

Here at Moonz, they have given me the opportunity to offer children an experience that many of us would have liked to have when we were young, in a very fun and didactic way.

My name is Alicia, and I am the coordinator of the Moonz clinic in Donosti.

I am the person in charge of welcoming you when you enter the door for the first time. I will introduce you to the wonderful Moonz world, of which I am very proud to be a part. It represents a learning and growth experience for me, both personally and professionally.

Orthopedics in the early stages and orthodontics have always been my favorite specialties within Dentistry. I find it very rewarding to be involved in the evolution and development of our little ones.

My goal is for both the little ones and their family members to visit the dentist feeling calm, happy, and relaxed.

In Moonz, we specialize in pediatric dental care. That’s why we carry out treatments to prevent and address common oral health issues in children, such as cavities, tooth misalignment, and trauma.

Interceptive orthodontics and orthopaedics

We provide orthopaedic and interceptive treatments aimed at children between the ages of 6 and 9. Thus, we easily correct improper habits and malformations of the bones, which can only be corrected with surgery as an adult.

First visit to the Orthodontist

The Spanish Orthodontic Society recommends the first orthodontic evaluation be conducted at age 6. Thus, the Orthodontist can detect malocclusions or incorrect oral habits that are easier to correct at an early age.

Child orthodontics

Orthodontics in two phases

To achieve a healthy, functional and aesthetic result in the long term, orthodontic treatments must be approached in two phases. In the first phase, we guide and correct bone growth. In the second, we improve the position of the teeth.

Paediatric dentistry

We carry out all types of procedures aimed at maintaining the health and condition of baby as well as permanent teeth: fillings, fluoride treatments, sealants, pulpectomies.

Clear aligners for kids

This treatment has become very popular in recent years. Instead of braces, clear and removable aligners are used. Therefore, this is a more comfortable and cleaner orthodontic system than any other system based on braces.

Orthodontics

We provide orthodontic treatments aimed at children between the ages of 6 and 12. One or another treatment is selected depending on the patient’s age, the type of malocclusion or degree of severity.

Braces for kids

Braces are the orthodontic system most often used for children who already have all their permanent teeth. In other words, their baby teeth have fallen out and their permanent teeth have fully emerged. Normally braces are fitted at age 11 or 12.
